Bei der KTM 890 Duke R handelt es sich um die sportlichste Evolutionsstufe der 890 Duke. Mehr Leistung, strafferes Fahrwerk, schärfere Bremse - diese Zutaten lassen sie zusammen mit dem ohnehin bereits niedrigen Fahrzeuggewicht zu einem echten Präzisionsgerät werden. Ein schnelles und cooles Bike für Fahrspaß-Fetischisten, ambitionierte Hausstrecken-Heizer und nicht zuletzt auch für Trackday-Besucher eine echte Empfehlung. Die sportliche Positionierung des Oberkörpers und der etwas spitzere Kniewinkeln gehen allerdings zu Lasten des Komforts. Nicht zuletzt ist auch das einstellbare Fahrwerk im Grundsetup wirklich knackig hart abgestimmt. Wer den druckvollen 890er Motor und die hochwertige Elektronik eine Nummer gemütlicher genießen möchte, greift weiterhin guten Gewissens zum Basis-Modell.
